US Endoscopy announces full market release of the Infinity™ sampling device 10.25.2011
Mentor, Ohio - October 25, 2011 - US
Endoscopy, a world leader in endoscopy device design and
manufacturing, is proud to announce the release of the Infinity™ sampling device. This device is
purpose-built for collecting substantial and quality samples from
strictures in the biliary duct during ERCP (endoscopic retrograde
cholangiopancreatography) procedures.
"Numerous physicians are asking for a device that can deliver
higher yield samples during ERCP," says Gulam Khan, US Endoscopy
CEO, President, and Co-chairman. "Current methods do not always
provide sufficient cell collection, causing frustration and
difficulty in making an accurate diagnosis. We have designed the
Infinity™ device to help physicians obtain a higher yield sample,
providing the information needed for a more definitive
diagnosis."
The Infinity™ sampling device features a combination bristle
design. The stiff bristles help create a defect in the tissue of
the biliary duct while the soft bristles capture the abraded
material. This unique collection method is designed to produce a
higher yield and cellular sample.
